Bhubaneswar, March 31:The "Operation Reconnect," a campaign aimed at tracing and recovering stolen or lost mobile phones in Jajpur, has achieved significant success, as announced by Dr. Satyajit Naik, IGP.

Dr. Naik, while participating in the program, praised the successful conclusion of the operation, which took place from March 22nd to 29th. This special initiative focused on utilizing the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal to track and recover mobile phones that were reported as stolen or missing.

As part of the operation, coordinated efforts by police teams led to the recovery of 92 mobile phones, which were promptly matched with their rightful owners. By leveraging advanced technology and ensuring swift action, the authorities were able to identify and return these devices to the individuals they were originally registered to.

Dr. Satyajit Naik, along with the Jajpur SP, officially handed over the recovered mobile phones to their owners in a ceremony. This act underscored the department’s continued commitment to public service, as well as the important role of restoring trust between the police and the community.

Dr. Naik emphasized that "Operation Reconnect" reflects the vision of a people-friendly police force—one that is approachable, responsive, and dedicated to the safety and well-being of the public. Through the effective use of technology and active community involvement, Jajpur Police is strengthening its relationship with the citizens.
