Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable achievement for Indian para sports, World Champion armless archer Sheetal Devi and Odisha’s talented limbless archer Payal Nag clinched the gold medal in the Compound Women’s Doubles event of the Bangkok World Archery Para Series at Thailand on Friday.
The Indian duo delivered an outstanding performance in the final, defeating Kazakhstan with a score of 150–147 to secure the top podium finish. Earlier in the semifinals, they edged out Thailand by 155-146. Their exceptional coordination, precision, and mental strength were on full display as they overcame strong international competition.
