Bhubaneswar, July 20: The Odisha Higher Education Department on Monday published the second selection merit list for admission to Undergraduate (+3 Degree) courses for the 2026-27 academic session.

A total of 41,578 students have been selected in the second round of Phase-I admissions.

According to the department, 2,87,519 undergraduate seats are available across higher education institutions in the state, while 2,37,200 students had applied during the first phase of the admission process.

In the first round, 1,78,782 candidates were selected, of whom 88,480 completed the admission process. Another 48,614 students chose the Slide/Float option, enabling them to participate in subsequent rounds for higher-preference institutions or courses.

Of the 41,578 candidates selected in the second round, 23,839 are women, 17,737 are men and two are transgender candidates.

Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, continued to register the highest cut-off marks in several streams. In Arts, the highest cut-off stood at 99.67% for Economics. The university also recorded the highest cut-offs in Science, with 96.17% for Physics under Physical Science and 94.33% for Botany under Biological Science. In Commerce, Ravenshaw topped the list with a cut-off of 93.67%.

Among self-financing programmes, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College, Bhubaneswar, recorded the highest cut-off of 92% in Computer Science. In the Law stream, Madhusudan Law University, Cuttack, registered the highest cut-off of 88.83% for its five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. programme.

Arts accounted for the highest number of selections in the second round, with 23,815 candidates, followed by Science with 13,331. A total of 2,915 students were selected in Commerce, 1,168 in self-financing courses, 286 in Shastri courses and 63 in Law programmes.

Students who have exercised the Freeze option have been asked to report to their allotted higher education institutions between 10 am on July 21 and 5 pm on July 23 to complete the admission process.
