Bhubaneswar, April 20: The Odisha government has disbursed financial assistance worth around ₹838 crore to more than 41.68 lakh farmers under the Chief Minister Kisan Yojana. The funds have been directly credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹4,000 annually in two installments to support agricultural activities.

Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted that the state’s agricultural growth rate has reached 5.3% over the past 22 months since 2024, surpassing the national average. He also noted that Odisha currently ranks second in the country in paddy production. Ensuring timely financial support to farmers remains a key priority of the government, he said, adding that the scheme aims to bring farmers into the economic mainstream.

On Monday, financial aid was extended to a total of 42,68,542 farmers. However, beneficiaries who have not completed e-KYC, failed to link Aadhaar with their bank accounts, do not have a registered mobile number, or lack land registration documents did not receive the assistance.

The Chief Minister urged such farmers to update their details at the earliest to avail the benefits under the CM Kisan Yojana.
