Odisha Government Approves Five New PPP Projects Worth Rs 1,130 Crore

Bhubaneswar, May 11:The Empowered Committee on Infrastructure for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Projects, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, has granted in-principle approval to five new PPP initiatives valued at a total of Rs 1,130 crore. These projects span critical sectors, including health, sewerage treatment, urban development, water supply, and animal vaccine production.

An official release stated that the committee also reviewed the ongoing PPP project pipeline, directing the respective departments and sponsoring authorities to strictly adhere to timelines and maintain rigorous due diligence throughout each project’s execution.

During the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg highlighted the strategic importance of PPP projects in attracting private investment under Odisha’s “Vision 2036” roadmap and underscored their role in promoting sustainable development across the state.

Additionally, the committee granted in-principle approval for a collaboration between the Finance Department’s PPP Cell and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The partnership aims to develop a robust pipeline of viable projects and further strengthen a PPP-friendly ecosystem in Odisha.
