In a major push to strengthen the state’s development and industrial growth, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will lay the foundation for a new grid substation at Palsa Panchayat in the Joda block of Keonjhar.

Badbil, Ap 28: In a major push to strengthen the state’s development and industrial growth, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will lay the foundation for a new grid substation at Palsa Panchayat in the Joda block of Keonjhar.

The project, estimated at ₹1,647 crore, will include a 400/220 kV main grid substation, two 220 kV grid substations, and eight transmission lines. It is expected to significantly enhance both industrial and domestic electricity supply in the region.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, Keonjhar MP Ananta Nayak, Champua MLA Sanatan Mahakud, and Telkoi MLA Fakir Mohan Nayak will also attend the ceremony.

Later, at around 10:30 am, the Chief Minister will reach the elevated site at Jodasthi via helicopter to lay the foundation stone for the high-capacity grid substation. At 12:20 pm, he will participate in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of B.N.K. Government High School at Purushottampur in Champua.
