Bhubaneswar, June 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan on Monday to assess security arrangements and administrative preparedness for the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha.
The meeting reviewed key aspects of the visit, including VVIP movement, security protocols, venue management, traffic regulation, crowd control, and emergency medical services.
The Chief Minister directed the Director General of Police (DGP), Home Department, Intelligence Wing, and senior police officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements and prevent any lapse during the high-profile visit to the State on June 19 and 20.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Rairangpur on June 19, while the Prime Minister will join the State-level celebrations marking the completion of two years of the BJP Government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 20.
Officials were instructed to maintain seamless coordination between central security agencies and the Odisha Police and execute all arrangements strictly according to the approved security blueprint.
Special attention should be given to maintaining unhindered movement of emergency services, including ambulances.
Senior officials, including Advisor to the Chief Minister Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner DK Singh, ACS (Home) Hemanta Sharma, DGP YB Khurania, and other top administrative officers, attended the meeting.
It was revealed in the meeting that preparations for the President and Prime Minister's visit have entered the final phase, with all departments working in coordination.
PM Modi will visit President Murmu's in-laws' village of Pahadpur in Mayurbhanj district on June 20 and participate in several programmes. A mega public event will be held at Dandabosh in Rairangpur on June 20. The function will be attended by the President and the Prime Minister, along with Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other dignitaries.
