Bhubaneswar, March 30: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today informed the Odisha Assembly that 25 police stations across the state currently do not have their own buildings.
He was replying to a question raised by Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, who sought details on police stations operating from premises belonging to other departments.
According to the Chief Minister, 24 of these police stations are functioning from other departmental buildings, while the Sadar police station in Puri district is operating out of a rented house.
He also stated that the government has initiated plans to construct dedicated buildings for these police stations in a phased manner.
