Odia Paksha: Mayurbhanj launches awareness walk to promote Odia Language

As part of the statewide celebration of “Odia Paksha 2026,” the Mayurbhanj district administration, in collaboration with the Labor Department, organized an awareness campaign featuring a foot march that began from the District Collector’s office and concluded at Chhaupadiya after covering the city.

Odia Paksha: Mayurbhanj launches awareness walk to promote Odia Language

Baripada, Ap 6: As part of the statewide celebration of “Odia Paksha 2026,” the Mayurbhanj district administration, in collaboration with the Labor Department, organized an awareness campaign featuring a foot march that began from the District Collector’s office and concluded at Chhaupadiya after covering the city.

District Collector Dukhbandhu Nayak, who participated as the chief guest, formally inaugurated the March. The program, conducted under the guidance of the State Labor and Employee Insurance Department, primarily aims to ensure that all shops and commercial establishments prominently display signboards in the Odia language.

A key focus of the campaign was to create widespread awareness among business owners and the general public about the importance of promoting Odia in everyday commerce. Additionally, a specially decorated awareness Rath was inaugurated as part of the program. This Rath will travel across the district, further educating and encouraging citizens to embrace and promote the Odia language.
