OCS Prelims 2025 scheduled for June 7; OPSC issues key exam details

Bhubaneswar, May 16: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced that the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 will be held on June 7 in six cities across the state.

Candidates can download their admit cards from the Commission’s official website starting May 30.

As per the notification issued under Advertisement No. 05 of 2025-26, the examination centres will be located in Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jeypore and Sambalpur.

The preliminary examination will take place in two sessions. General Studies Paper-I will be conducted from 10 am to 12 noon and will include 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. General Studies Paper-II will be held from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm with 80 multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be required to record their answers on OMR sheets.

The Commission has also announced additional time for candidates under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category. These candidates will receive 40 extra minutes for each paper. As a result, the morning session for PwD candidates will continue until 12.40 pm, while the afternoon session will conclude at 4.10 pm.

OPSC said that admit cards along with detailed examination guidelines will be available on its official portal from May 30. Candidates have been advised to visit the website regularly for further updates regarding the examination.
