Jharsuguda, June 23: The body of noted social worker Trinath Gual was found from a railway track near Baliyori in Odisha's Jharsuguda district on Monday.
According to reports, railway police recovered Gual's body in a bloodied condition and subsequently sent it for post-mortem examination. During the investigation, a handwritten note believed to be a suicide note was found near the body. The note reportedly stated, “No one is responsible for my death.”
Trinath Gual was a well-known figure in Jharsuguda and had been actively associated with several social and political organizations. He had previously served as the president of the Jharsuguda Bar Association and the district president of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). He was also involved with numerous social welfare initiatives in the region.
Gual was known to be a close associate of late political leader Kishore Mohanty. While preliminary findings have led to suspicions of suicide, the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and officials said the actual cause of death will be determined after a thorough probe and post-mortem examination.
