Sambalpur, September 21: Putting an end to the speculation of a cabinet reshuffle in Odisha, BJP State unit president Manmohan Samal on Sunday said that there is no possibility as of now.
“There is no possibility of a reshuffle as of now?” said Samal on being asked by media persons on the speculation of a reshuffle in the first BJP Government in the State.
On being asked whether Sambalpur MLA Jaynarayan Msihra would find a place in the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s cabinet Samal said the party’s Parliament Affairs Committee will take a decision in this regard.
Samal was interacting with media persons after offering prayers at Maa Samaleswari temple in Sambalpur.
Samal further stated that consultation is underway for appointment in different public sector corporations and boards.
Notably, the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manmohan Samal and frequent visit of the latter to the national capital has the speculation of a cabinet rejig, which is long overdue.
The State Council of Ministers at present comprises the Chief Minister, two Deputy Chief Ministers, eight Cabinet ministers and five Ministers of State. It has a vacancy of six Ministers.
