Bhubaneswar, May 18: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday chaired a meeting of the Odisha BJP core committee at the party's state headquarters here and discussed organisational matters of the party.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, BJP state president Manmohan Samal, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Deputy Chief Ministers – KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and other senior party leaders.
“Participated in the state core committee meeting at the BJP state office located in Bhubaneswar, engaging in meaningful discussions on organizational matters. Under the guidance of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and the leadership of Chief Minister Shri @MohanMOdishaji, the double-engine government is taking Odisha to new heights of development,” Nabin posted on ‘X’.
The visit comes weeks before the Mohan Charan Majhi-led Government completes two years in office on June 12. Nabin’s tour is expected to kick off the party’s anniversary celebrations, showcasing the Government’s achievements and outlining its future roadmap.
Nabin has embarked on a two-day organisational visit to Odisha from Sunday.
Nabin will inaugurate and deliver the inaugural address at the district-level Pandit Deendayal Training Mahabhiyan-2026 camp organised by the Bhubaneswar organizational district at the Asian Institute of Physical Health University campus in Jatni later today.
He is also expected to meet members of the State Council of Ministers and heads of frontal organisations.
The national president is likely to review organisational affairs and strategise on strengthening coordination between the Government and the organisation ahead of next year’s panchayat and urban local body elections.
BJP Odisha unit President Manmohan Samal said that the visit of the party national president would focus on empowering local leadership ahead of the upcoming Panchayat polls.
