Bhubaneswar, May 12: Odisha Chief Minster Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath for a new term as the Chief Minister of Assam.
In a social media post, CM Majhi said he is confident that under Sarma’s leadership and the guidance of Narendra Modi, Assam will continue to witness progress, prosperity, and inclusive development.
“Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Shri @himantabiswa Ji on taking oath as the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam. I am confident that under your leadership, and with the visionary guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, Assam will continue its journey of progress, prosperity and inclusive development. May your new tenure bring greater opportunities, strengthened governance and lasting benefits for the people of the state,” Majhi posted on X.
Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam for a second consecutive term, as the BJP-led NDA formed the government in the state for the third straight time.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sarma at a grand swearing-in ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several top BJP and NDA leaders.
