Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Friday strongly opposed the recording of social media reels inside Lok Seva Bhawan, the state secretariat, stating that the premises are meant exclusively for official and administrative work.

He made it clear that such activities are unacceptable, whether carried out by government staff or visitors.

“Lok Seva Bhawan is a centre of administrative governance, and filming reels inside the premises is entirely inappropriate,” the minister said.

Harichandan said that the issue concerns the dignity, discipline, and security of an important government institution that houses multiple departments and handles sensitive administrative matters.

He added that the Home Department may issue advisories to security personnel and formulate guidelines to prevent such incidents in the future.

Security agencies will examine the matter and police action will be taken wherever necessary, he said.
