Bhubaneswar, July 4: In a major breakthrough in the chandrasekhar buddha vihar-ishaneswar basti group clash case, the chandrasekharpur police on saturday arrested 10 accused, including the prime accused, uttam. Another key accused, kumbhir, along with two of his associates, is still on the run, prompting police to launch an intensive manhunt.

According to police, the violence stemmed from a dispute over a love affair, which soon snowballed into a gang war between the uttam and kumbhir groups. The clash left shubham saroj, son of the secretary of buddha vihar colony, critically injured.

During the investigation, police identified more than 14 persons allegedly involved in the incident. While 10 accused have been taken into custody, raids are continuing at multiple locations to apprehend kumbhir and his two absconding associates. Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
