Bengaluru, March 15: Two individuals were arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe Odisha Congress MLAs, who are currently staying at a resort near Bengaluru, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar claimed on Sunday.
Shivakumar accused the two individuals of offering Rs. 5 crore to each MLA ahead of the March 16 Rajya Sabha elections in Odisha.
According to a senior Congress leader from Odisha, a formal police complaint was filed in Bengaluru, alleging that the individuals attempted to bribe the party MLAs and threatened them when the offer was rejected.
