Bhubaneswar, Aug. 3: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday said the newly inaugurated Jagadguru Kripalu University would play a pivotal role in advancing skill-based higher education by blending modern scientific knowledge with India's rich spiritual and cultural heritage.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the university at Banara in Cuttack district, after President Droupadi Murmu formally dedicated the institution to the nation, Majhi said the university marked the beginning of a new era in Odisha's higher education landscape.

He said the state government remains committed to expanding access to quality education, promoting research and innovation, and creating greater opportunities for young people. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the university would emerge as a leading centre for higher education, research, skill development and character building, helping transform Odisha into a global education hub.

Meanwhile, Odisha Police made elaborate security arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the President's visit to the university.

​​​​​​​Dr. Satyajit Naik, Inspector General of Police (Central Range), Cuttack, said the high-profile visit concluded safely and without any untoward incident due to meticulous planning, seamless coordination among security and civil agencies, and the dedicated efforts of all personnel involved.

He thanked police officers, civil officials and other stakeholders for their professionalism and commitment in maintaining the highest standards of security, protocol and public service throughout the President's visit.
