Bhandaripokhari, Jul 8: An iron-laden truck was gutted in a fire on National Highway-16 near Bhandaripokhari College in Odisha's Bhadrak district on Wednesday, triggering panic among commuters.

According to reports, the truck was transporting a consignment of iron rods towards Bhadrak when it suddenly caught fire near Bhandaripokhari under the jurisdiction of Bhandaripokhari Police Station. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.

The driver managed to escape from the vehicle in time and was reported to be safe. No injuries or casualties have been reported in the incident.

The fire engulfed the truck, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. Local authorities were informed, and efforts were initiated to bring the blaze under control.
