Bhawanipatna, Feb 20: The Vigilance Department on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on properties linked to Bhagabat Bhushan Behera, Forester of the Bhatangpadar Section under the Bhawanipatna Range, following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to official sources, searches were carried out at multiple locations, including his office and residential premises. A team comprising four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, and four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) participated in the operation.

During the raids, several important documents were reportedly seized. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the extent of the alleged disproportionate assets.
