Mumbai, May 4: Actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently made a heartwarming appearance onLaughter Chef 3, leading to an emotional reunion with Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah.
The reunion left all three visibly moved, with tears flowing as old bonds were rekindled. Krushna’s sister,Bigg Boss 13contestant Arti Singh, also shared her feelings on social media, expressing how overwhelmed she felt watching the episode.
She wrote, "And tears were rolling down when yesterday I saw this episode… for everyone it was a mami day, but for us, it was the dream of so many years. Ours was always a close-knit and happy family, and then, as it is said, sometimes things go wrong with time. But at the right time, everything falls into place."
Arti revealed that she had longed for this reunion for years and had deeply missed her "mami" Ssunita Ahuja, "mama" Govinda, and their children, Tina and Yash. She added, "This reunion was my heartfelt wish for years, and the way it happened is just beautiful. How @krushna30 and @kashmera1 have apologized—I know them personally, and I know how genuine it was. And @officialsunitaahuja mami, I have missed her and chichi mama badly… and even more, @tina.ahuja and @yash."
Speaking about her sister-in-law Kashmera, Arti said, "We just lost beautiful years, and as @kashmera1 beautifully put it, 'vo maa hai, haq hai unka.' Our elders are our roots. I know how much Sunita mami and chichi mama have loved us like their own children. I’m grateful and so happy. My heart is full, and I just want to thank God. I can’t wait to have one full happy family picture."
Kashmera Shah responded to Arti’s post, writing, "How beautifully you have written, Arti. Love you, and let’s fight to keep our family together."
The episode saw Ssunita Ahuja making a surprise appearance and calling out to Krushna, who responded emotionally, saying that 14 years had passed before bending down to touch her feet. Kashmera too appeared visibly emotional and apologized to Ssunita, saying, "I’m so sorry."
For context, the family fallout began in 2018 when Ssunita Ahuja reportedly took offense to a tweet by Kashmera Shah about "people who dance for money," believing it referred to Govinda. The misunderstanding led to years of distance between the families. Krushna Abhishek later clarified that the tweet was about his sister, Arti Singh, not Govinda. Despite the clarification, the rift persisted publicly for several years.
