Elephant terror grips Malanusuga village in Udaygiri

Udaygiri, March 23: Malanusuga village in the Udaygiri forest area is in a state of panic after a wild elephant entered the village late last night, creating chaos among the residents. The villagers were startled by the elephant’s trumpet, causing widespread fear. Many residents fled to the rooftops for safety as the elephant rampaged through the area.

The elephant caused significant damage, breaking several trees, including banana trees, as it moved through the village. In response, villagers attempted to drive the elephant away using torchlight, but it continued its destruction.

Several residents, whose homes were in the elephant's path, spent the entire night seeking refuge on nearby rooftops, overcome with fear. The presence of wild elephants in the Udaygiri region has left the villagers on edge.

This is not the first incident; just a few days ago, the herd had attacked and severely injured three people. The villagers are living in constant fear of further attacks, and authorities are being urged to take action to ensure the safety of the community.
