New Delhi, May 3: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters on May 3 to oversee the smooth conduct of the NEET UG 2026 examination.
Pradhan conducted a detailed review of the operational preparedness, logistical arrangements, and security measures for the exam, which saw nearly 23 lakh candidates participating nationwide.
The visit was part of efforts to ensure a flawless, transparent, and fair examination process. During the visit, officials briefed the minister on steps taken to maintain discipline and manage the massive student turnout.
Offering his best wishes to the candidates, Pradhan encouraged them to remain calm and focused throughout the exam.
The NEET UG 2026 was conducted in a single shift (2 pm to 5 pm) in offline mode, with enhanced security measures, including jamming and biometric verification.
Earlier, Pradhan had emphasized that the 2026 academic year would bring reforms aimed at lightening the load on students. His visit underscores the government's commitment to upholding the integrity of entrance exams, particularly following the increased scrutiny of previous sessions.
