Jeypore, May 2: A college student tragically drowned while bathing in the Kolab reservoir in Koraput district on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Moses Khosla, was a resident of the Kolab Nagar area and an undergraduate Commerce student at Semiliguda College.

Reports indicate that Moses had visited the reservoir with a group of friends to shoot reels. After filming, he went into the water along with others for bathing, during which he accidentally drowned.

Fire Brigade personnel responded promptly after being informed and conducted a search operation, eventually recovering the body from the reservoir.

The police have sent the body to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
