Koraput, July 3: Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany, Director of the CSIR–National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Odisha (CUO).
The appointment has been made by the President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor of the Central University of Odisha.
According to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Dr. Shasany has been appointed for a term of five years.
He has also served as the Director, ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology, New Delhi and Chief Scientist, Biotechnology Division, CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow.
