Boipariguda, Jul 4: An eight-foot-long python that had strayed into Jamjodi village under the Boipariguda Forest Range in Odisha, reportedly in search of food, was safely rescued by employees of the Electricity Department.
The rescue team carefully captured the snake and handed it over to the Boipariguda Forest Department for further action.
According to Boipariguda Forest Range Officer Sandeep Panigrahi, the rescued python measured approximately eight feet in length and weighed around 15 kilograms.
Following a thorough health examination by a veterinary doctor, the python was safely released into the forest near Kota Chhak. Forest officials confirmed that the reptile was released back into its natural habitat after being declared fit.
