Police said another case has been registered against the accused at Chandbali Police Station, while raids are underway at various locations to track him down. Officials also stated that action would be taken against the police personnel on duty after the complete inquiry report into the incident is received.

According to reports, Banshada Police under Chandbali block had arrested accused Debabrata Das on Thursday on the basis of a pending warrant and brought him to Chandbali Court for production. However, before being produced in court, he allegedly managed to flee from police custody.
