Bhubaneswar, December 7: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain in several districts of Odisha on December 8 and December 9.

According to the IMD report, light rain is likely to occur in parts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur and Boudh districts on December 8.

For December 9, the Bhubaneswar regional weather office has predicted light rain in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Khurda, and Cuttack.

 Isolated heavy rainfall is also expected in one or two places in these districts. However, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry from December 10 to 14.
