IMD issues severe cold wave warning for five Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Severe cold wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jharsuguda, Bargarh and Sundargarh, the regional centre of IMD said. People may suffer an increased likelihood of various illnesses like running/ stuffy nose or nosebleed, which usually set in or get aggravated due to prolonged exposure to cold may under its impact. Livestock may be affected due to prolong exposure to cold It has suggested to stay indoor during night and to make arrangement to keep livestock in shaded/indoor areas. It also suggested to avoid movement in night specially through two wheeler/open car. Similarly, it has warned that cold wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Kandhamal, Balasore,Cuttack, Keonjhar, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Dhenkanal and Deogarh.
