Bhadrak, July 19: In a major crackdown on illegal timber operations, the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance on Saturday conducted a joint raid and unearthed an unlicensed sawmill operating in Mulansahi village under Dhamnagar Police Station limits of Bhadrak district.
During the raid, officials seized sawmill equipment and 75.25 cubic feet of valuable timber. The estimated value of the seized timber and accessories stands at RS12,03,655.
Authorities confirmed that the sawmill was being operated without a valid license. Further investigation into the illegal operation is currently underway.
