Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Special Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar today granted bail to IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash after police failed to file charge sheet in 60 days. On November 27, senior IFS officer and Additional PCCF of Plan, Program & Afforestation Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash Pathak were arrested by the Vigilance. The Vigilance had raided places at 13 locations including Bhubaneswar, Pune and Mumbai on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to known sources of income of the senior IFS officer. Vigilance sleuths have found the senior IFS of having of disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs9.35 crore. Officials said that the disproportionate assets traced so far are 435% of his total income.
