ICDS supervisor held for taking bribe in Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada, Nov 22: Vigilance sleuths on Monday arrested an ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) official in Sinapali block of Nuapada district while taking a bribe of Rs 80,000. The accused has been identified as Harshamani Dei, the ICDS supervisor in the Nuapada district. According to Vigilance sources, Dei had allegedly demanded Rs 80,000 for an appointment at Anganwadi Centre. Following this, the anti-corruption sleuths laid a trap and caught the supervisor red-handed while she was accepting the bribe. Further investigation is on.
