Hoarding kills 2 in Bhubaneswar during Kalabaishakhi

In a tragic incident, two youths lost their lives in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday as a hoarding fell on them. The incident took place at Aiginia in the city during season’s first Kalabaishakhi that hit the Twin-Cities this afternoon.

Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: In a tragic incident, two youths lost their lives in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday as a hoarding fell on them.

The incident took place at Aiginia in the city during season’s first Kalabaishakhi that hit the Twin-Cities this afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Surendra Goud, a local of Aiginia and, one Sachidananda Pradhan.

According to report, Surendra and Sachidanand were commuting on the service road at Aiginia while high wind accompanied by hailstorm was lashing the Capital City. Meanwhile, a heavy billboard flew up and fell on the duo resulting grievous head injuries. Responding to the scream,bystanders picked them from the spot and rushed to the AIIMS Bhubaneswar for resuscitation. However, Goud succumed to injuries, on the way to the hospital whereas Pradhan died late at night during treatment.
