Berhampur, Feb 27: Two HIV positive patients in Berhampur got married on Saturday and surprisingly Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the ceremony to bless the newly wed.
The Chief Minister joined the ceremony through video conferencing and congratulated the special couple.
The Ganjam district administration today organised the unique marriage at the Shraddha Sanjivani Child Care Home (SSCCH) in Gopalpur.
According to reports, the district administration organised their marriage after the duo completed their studies and became self-reliant.
Many senior officials, including Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange attended the marriage to bless the couple who have tried to bring new hope among people infected with HIV.
The childcare institution, set up by the district administration in 2007, has been providing shelter to HIV affected children, orphans and children from poor socio-economic background.
