Shimla, June 28: The death toll from the devastating flash floods that struck Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra and Kullu districts on Wednesday has risen to seven, authorities confirmed.

Rescue teams on Friday recovered the body of a young girl, Murti Devi, near the riverbank in Bakshahal village, located in Kullu district.

Murti, along with her father and aunt, had been reported missing after a cloudburst triggered flash floods at Jeeva Nallah in the Sainj area. While the girl’s body has now been found, search operations are still underway for the missing father and aunt.
