Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange warnings across Odisha, forecasting heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) till September 13.

On Sept 8, yellow warnings are in place for Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Balangir, with thunderstorm alerts for several other districts.

On Sept 9 and 11, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati face heavy rain warnings, while many western and coastal districts may see thunderstorms.

On Sept 12, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar are under an orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall, with yellow warnings for several other districts.

On Sept 13, orange warnings are issued for Rayagada and Koraput, and yellow warnings for Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, and Ganjam.

The IMD has urged residents to stay alert and take precautions during the adverse weather.
