HRAO writes PM to patronize hotel and hospitality industry in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 15: The Hotel and Restaurant Association Odisha (HRAO) has appealed the Prime Minister for developing world-class hotel and Hospitality industry in the state. HRAO Chairperson JK Mohanty has written a letter to Narendra Modi in this connection. According to it, the hotel and hospitality industry in the world has suffered a lot due to the Covid pandemic. Accordingly, the hoteliers of Odisha are incurring huge loss due to shutdown lockdown and Corona related protocols. No guests or tourists are stepping out in fear. As a result, the hotel industry in the state is going through a crisis. On the other hand, Odisha has got a wide scope for hotel industry for its enchanting tourist spots and industrial domain. Tourist resources across the state could fetch a good revenue from the overseas tourists if they are developed to world class standard. Thus, he has requested the PM to create favourable infrastructure in Odisha. Apart from it, Mohanty has requested the PM to grant one year moratorium and reduced rate of interest for the Covid hit business. Similarly, he has urged to extend the loan repayment dateline up to 2024 instead of 2022.
