Bhubaneswar, July 24: Guru Purnima 2021 falls on the full moon day in the month of Ashadha (July). It marks the birth anniversary of Veda Vyasa - the author as well as a character in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Guru Purnima is also celebrated by Buddhists in the honour of Gautama Buddha to commemorate the day when Buddha delivered his first sermon at Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh. It also marks the relationship between students and teachers. As we all know that teachers play a vital role in the lives of students. Teachers also familiarise students with values and life skills that help them deal with the outside world once they become adults. Conveying heartfelt greetings to the people of Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to Twitter to wish people on occasions of Guru Purnima 2021 today. wp:embed {"url":"https://twitter.com/Naveen_Odisha/status/1418765640211472390","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"twitter","responsive":true,"className":""} https://twitter.com/Naveen_Odisha/status/1418765640211472390 /wp:embed
