Gupkar Alliance to attend all-party meeting with PM Modi

Srinagar, June 22: Jammu and Kashmir’s Gupkar Alliance on Tuesday said that they will join the all-party meet to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 24 in New Delhi. The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), led by veteran politician Farooq Abdullah held its second meeting today to discuss the Centre’s invitation for the all-party meeting with PM Modi. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti was among those who participated in the meeting. We will attend the all-party meeting called by the PM and will put forth our demands for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s pecial status and statehood, Dr Abdullah told reporters after today’s meeting. PAGD is a seven-party alliance of mainstream parties formed reportedly aimed to campaign for restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
