Puri, Sept 30: The long wait for devotees and tourists came to an end as the sacred Gundicha Temple in Puri, revered as the ‘Leela Khetra’ (divine playground) of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, reopened its doors to the public at 7.30 am today.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, district administration and police authorities made elaborate arrangements to ensure the convenience of devotees and facilitate smooth and orderly darshan at the shrine.
Shree Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee, the Nayak of the Chhatisha Nijog, members of the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, presidents and secretaries of various servitor associations, senior servitors and other stakeholders were present at the auspicious hour. Their presence and cooperation contributed to the smooth conduct of the opening ceremony.
The coordinated arrangements by the temple, district and police administrations were aimed at ensuring a smooth, orderly and hassle-free darshan experience for devotees visiting the historic shrine.
