Green corridor during Puri Rath Yatra for critical patients

Puri, June 28: Puri district administration is going to make a green corridor in Puri town during the Rath Yatra in order to facilitate the emergency treatment of the elderly patients. The district administration has informed it on Tuesday. As on the review meeting held on Monday led by the Health Minister Naba Kishore Das,the district health authorities will remain prepared to meet every exigency during the Rath Yatra which is expected to congregate more than 10 lakh devotees. To assist the elderly visitors, divyangs and ailing senior citizens with immediate medical aid, a green corridor will be made operational to carry the ailing persons swiftly to the hospital or resuscitation centers. Volunteers and social outfits equipped with essential logistics will handle the restless, suffocating and injured ones and escort them to the rehabilitation centers as soon as possible. Social outfits including, Saint John Ambulance, Red Cross Society, Apadmitra, Saint John Jagannath Dham, Happiness Foundation, RSS, Indian Scout and Guides, Rover and Rangers will expedite the medical facilities utilizing the green corridor for transits of the needy ones.
