Mumbai, October 2: Actor Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja spoke to the media regarding her father's health following an accidental bullet injury. Govinda, who was hospitalized after a licensed revolver discharged while he was putting it away, is now in a stable condition.
Tina reassured fans, saying, “Papa is getting better. He’s out of the ICU and back in the normal ward. Please keep him in your prayers.”
Govinda’s wife, Sunita, also expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support and confirmed that he would likely be discharged soon. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning as Govinda was preparing to travel to Kolkata.
His manager clarified that the bullet was removed successfully, and his condition remains stable.
Several close friends, including director David Dhawan and actor Shatrughan Sinha, visited the hospital to check on Govinda’s recovery.
Govinda himself conveyed his thanks through an audio message, expressing his appreciation for the doctor and the well-wishers who prayed for his recovery.
