Bhubaneswar, Sept 18: In a significant development, individuals who were previously covered under the Subhadra Scheme will now be eligible to receive pension benefits after attaining the age of 60. A directive has been issued to include these beneficiaries under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) and the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).
To avail the pension, eligible beneficiaries must submit a formal application. As per the government order, priority will be given to the elderly, vulnerable individuals, and those already on the waiting list.
This move aims to extend long-overdue social security support to former Subhadra beneficiaries, ensuring financial assistance in their later years.
