Gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore burgled from jewellery shop in Odisha

Berhampur, Oct 14: Gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore were allegedly burgled from a jewellery shop at Bada Bazar under Purushottampur police station in Ganjam district late last night. As per reports, the owner of the shop identified as Surendra Nayak found his shop ransacked this morning. He also found gold ornaments, two mobile phones and hard drive of CCTV missing. He later lodged a formal complaint with the police. Police have started an investigation after registering a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code. “ The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot and we are trying to identify the miscreants involved in the crime,” said a police official.
