Girl student beaten up by doctor instead of treatment; transfer demanded

Kalimela (Malkangiri), 30/11: A doctor instead of treating patient, allegedly beat her up. This alleged incident has taken place in Kalimela Community Health Centre in Malkangiri district. {"id":21245,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to reports, Jyotsna Nayak, a class X student of Kalimela Government High School, had fallen down due to reeling of head. Her school teachers and some class mates had admitted her in Kalimela Community Health Centre for treatment. The attending doctor Muktikant Mallick asked all to go out and poured a medicine in the eyes, nose and mouth of the girl student. When she cried in pain, the doctor gagged her and beat up severely, alleged the girl. The maltreatment of the doctor has sparked off in Kalimela area with people demanding the doctor’s transfer.
