Girl decamps with iPhone worth Rs 1.4 lakh from mobile store in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, July 6: A girl in her 20s allegedly decamped with an iPhone worth Rs 1.4 lakh from a store in Bapuji Nagar area. The incident took place on Monday when the girl in tees and skirts asked the store employees to show her high-end smart phones. She later chose an iPhone worth Rs 1.4 lakh and asked the store employees to prepare the bill. “Subsequently she claimed that her ATM was not functioning and asked one of the store employees to accompany her to her home in a car. However, she asked the employee to get some petrol from a filling station. As soon as he got off the car, the girl escaped from the spot,” said the employee who accompanied her. The owner of the store later lodged a formal police complaint basing on which the girl has been detained for further interrogation.
