Khordha, Nov 7: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, police seized 150 grams of brown sugar and ₹34,000 in cash from Batamangala Road under the jurisdiction of Adarsha Police Station on Thursday. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to reports, the arrested youths are residents of the Khordha town area. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹15 lakh in the illegal market. Acting on a tip-off about a drug deal in progress, a special police team conducted a swift raid, leading to the arrests and seizure.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Adarsha police station premises, Sadar SDPO Nihar Ranjan Pradhan stated that the anti-drug operation across Khordha district will continue to curb the menace of narcotics in the region.
