Garment shop sealed in Bhubaneswar, Rs 2 lakh fine collected

Bhubaneswar, June 11: A garment shop was sealed by the Commissionate police in Bhubaneswar on Friday for violating Covid-19 guidelines. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Commissionate police reached the shop at Jharpada where many people had gathered violating social distancing norms. Following which, the shop was sealed for indefinite period of time. Moreover, Rs 2 lakh has been collected from the shopkeeper as fine fornot adhering to Covid-19 guidelines. Worth mentioning, amid lockdown, essential shops are allowed to function only till 11am. Also, it has been directed that all customers and shopkeepers must wear face masks and maintain adequate distance from each other.
