Ganjam: Youth commits suicide losing money in Free-Fire game

Ganjam, Jan 16: A youth has been reportedly committed suicide after losing money in the Free-Fire online game on Sunday. The incident took place at Gereda village under the Tarasingi police limit in Ganjam district in the evening. The deceased has been identified as Chinunigam Goud. Sources said Chinunigama was playing the Free-Fire game from his mobile. Meanwhile, he was duped for Rs 30,000 as he followed the interactive instructions commanded by the Free-Fire app. Following this, he hung himself at his home. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy. A UD case has been registered in this connection. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause behind the death, said police.
