Ganja carrying bike seized in Balangir, peddlers escape

Balangir, Dec 6: Sindhekela police seized a ganja carrying bike on Monday, near Chandotara square in Balangir district. As many as three bags containing over 30 kilograms of ganja have been recovered from the bike after it met an accident on Chandotara-Bhursagoda road in the afternoon Sources said, two unidentified youths were passing the Chandotara square on a bike. Meanwhile, they lost control over the bike and met an accident before the government liquor factory. Subsequently, the two riders fled from the spot leaving the bike, three bags and two mobiles, despite critical injuries in their bodies. Locals during search, discovered ganja from three bags which were scattered away around the skidded bike and informed police regarding the incident. Sindhikela police seized the ganja, bike and two mobiles from the spot. A case under NDPS Act has been registered in this connection. Further investigation is underway, said police.
